The Black Hills and Grand Teton Travel Photography
In June, my boyfriend Alex and I took a week long road trip to travel to South Dakota and Wyoming! Our first stop was passing through the Badlands as we traveled to Deadwood, SD. It was so neat to see the dry terrain where sedimentary rocks have been eroded over years by wind and water. While we were driving through we also saw a big bison! That would be the first of many wildlife animals we would see on our trip. // The following morning, we had our first hike of the trip -- climbing up Harney Peak! This was my first time hiking and I will admit that it was hard but it was definitely worth the beautiful view at the top! After taking in the beautiful view, we finally made our way down the hill so we could go visit Mount Rushmore. Seeing the carving of the president’s heads in person was quite remarkable! // My other favorite part of our trip was going to Grand Teton National Park. We spent several days there and it was amazing! We did several hikes, we canoed, and we saw lots of wildlife: a mule deer, elk, and a moose! The views we saw while hiking in the park are something I will never forget!
